Light Blue and Sharp

Nora's December was quite busy what with her Daddy working a lot during Advent and her Mommy planning for all of her visitors. Below, you will find pictures of all our activities.

Nora was supposed to be baptized on December 31, but because of all the snow (see the photo below) church was canceled and the baptism postponed. Tracy's Mom made a beautiful baptismal gown for Nora which Nora was more than happy to model for her admirers.

One of the other exciting things that happened between Christmas and New Year's was Nora's discovery of the mobile in her crib. She is especially fond of watching the little red birds fly in a circle above her.

Tracy's Mom, shown here with her grandchildren: Nora, Sadie and Andrew who came to visit Nora.

Tracy's friend from high school, Tracey Boothby and her family Seth, Tylar and Emma were surprise guests for New Year's Eve! What a joy.
Sam, Sheryl, Kyla and David Powers came to visit from Oklahoma. Sam was going to help baptize Nora, but... The Powers enjoyed the snow, holding Nora and watching college Bowl games.

Tracy's sister Christy and her husband Steven, along with Sadie and Andrew also visited. They get the award for longest trip home as the snow really complicated travel on I-40.

Scott's Aunt Kathy and her son Craig, Jr. came for Christmas and New Years. Craig and Scott went skiing in Santa Fe while Kathy soaked up as much Nora as she could get. Craig is still not sure about holding babies.

Tracy and Scott, proud parents, enjoy playing with Nora on the floor and debate over who loves her more.
Scott's brother Brian bought Nora a huge hippo to guage her growth over time. Nora in pink is at 2 months old while Nora in blue is a picture from 1 month.

As we have mentioned, it snowed a lot between Christmas and New Years. Record snows were recorded all around New Mexico. It was beautiful, and frustrating and made for fantastic sledding at the local park. Craig, Jr. was featured in the local newspaper but the snow was so bad that the paper was not delivered!
Nora has fabulous hair. I think she gets the "sticking up" part from her Daddy and her uncles Brian and Randy who were all known for unique hair cuts.

The happy little family...
Nora's first Christmas.
Nora on a picnic. Please notice that Nora's hand has her fingers in a "locked" position. She gets this from her Mommy who does this hand position naturally, and constantly.
Oh, by the way, some have asked, "Why is Nora's blog entitled 'lightblueandsharp? Doesn't Indigo mean dark blue?'" Well, friends, Nora means "light," Indigo means "blue," and Sharp is self explanatory. So, now you know.
