I'm Goin' to Kansas City...

Yea, I know this picture is sideways, but I'm REALLY cute!

My Daddy's ancestral home is filled with BBQ and corn fields and the 1985 World Series Champions--the Royals. My great grandpa, my uncle Randy and Aunt Amy and cousins Lindy and Abby also live in the Kansas City area along with some of Daddy's friends from here, there and yon. And so, I made my first trip to the mid-west.

To say that great grandpa was excited to see me is a bit of an understatement. We had two good days hanging out with him and meeting all of his friends. We also spent lots of time with Bryan and Deanna Gash who endured having a baby stay in their house, and Daddy and Bryan's unending adoration of handheld Mattel football.

Mommy and Daddy introduced me to cousin Melba and Bill in Lawson, took Daddy's nostalgic tour of his hometown and tried to eat at my Daddy's favorite restaurant EVER--but it closed down because Bryan Gash wouldn't pony up a few hundred thousand dollars and take over the business.

One of the funnest things I got to do was to meet my cousins, Lindy and Abby. They were so nice to me and held me and smiled at me. These are some of the things that I like the best.

At the end of our stay in KC we met about 25 folks for BBQ lunch on the Plaza. I can't wait to eat BBQ!

Well, KC is certainly one of my favorite spots in the world so far. But honestly, how many places have I really been?
